Dissatisfied With Distance
The miles between friends, between lovers; so torturous. The miles between hugs, support for the hurt and lonely, interpersonal balm for stinging wounds, laughter, smiles, and whispers, passionate embrace, kisses.
Advice I cannot utter in a letter.
Comfort and sympathy I cannot express without touch.
Cold and stark are the numbers of the miles which mock me.
Why can't I be there?
If I had wings I would fly to you.
